An opportunity for an experienced engineer to branch out from design/project management into a commercially based role at a senior level. The successful candidate must be capable of working closely with the client to understand their needs and develop appropriate novel and innovative solutions.
Reporting to the Business Development Director and being responsible for the production of the technical content of tenders for multi-million pound bespoke equipment work scopes. The client base is worldwide including North and South America and APAC regions.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Produce technical proposals including 3D models and supporting calculations
- Produce commercial proposal including detailed supporting costings
- Work closely with the client to develop and refine the enquiry scope of work
- Build and maintain relations with existing and future clients
- Represent PCT at exhibitions and conferences
- Contribute to sales and product development strategy
- Manage enquiry databases
- Develop and maintain standard proposal templates, guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree qualified in mechanical, structural, offshore engineering or naval architecture.
- 3 – 5 years in the design and manufacture of bespoke equipment

Skills:
- IT literate (word, excel, database etc)
- AutoCAD Inventor or equivalent
- AutoCAD 2D
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Pro-active, team player
- Self driven
- Capability to listen, learn and change
