Semi-automatic coilers within this range are typically used for 10mm to 63mm smooth walled pipe, corrugated pipe or hose. Due to the greatly increased efficiency of our automatic technology, PCT no longer offer semi-automatic coiling solutions for pipe diameters below 63mm. There is the option of having a single or twin head specification.
Generally, for small diameter flexibles, the advantages of adding automated packaging with either film wrap or pp strapping are so great, in terms of increased efficiency and reduced labour, many of our customers realise the benefits far outweigh the initial additional cost. All machines are available at varying levels of equipment and automation enabling the most cost effective solution to be specified for each application.

We also produce two semi-automatic twin head spooling machines for winding small diameter flexibles onto plastic or plywood spools. These machines feature automatic transfer of product from reel to reel which occurs with minimal change to in-feed speed and are suitable for line speeds up to 250ft/min. Changing reels is the only manual task, with all other functions being performed automatically by the coiler.
